INTRODUCTION

        Business Information System is one of the important elements in understanding information technology as well as information system. Our group, The Black Pearl, has been assigned with an assignment relating to the subject. This is to improve our understanding about the technologies and the information systems and allows us to explore the latest technologies and understand how technologies and information systems works for certain companies. Hence, we were given 6 tasks to be completed. 

             In task 1, ‘Latest IT Gadget’, we are ought to find the latest IT gadget in the market and explain about the gadget itself. The features, functions and advantages of the gadget will be explained. In task 2, ‘Business Information System (BIS) a Summary’, BIS will be explained in a summary. This is to summarize what we have learnt throughout the subject of Business Information System. Soft skill is the most important component in Information Technology (IT). In task 3, the importance of soft skills in information technology (IT) will be discussed.

           Next, in task 4,’ Information System and Revolution’, an application will be chosen as an example in information system and has gone through a revolution. In task 5, ‘Organization Strategy of Maritime Industry’, a company in maritime industry will be chosen as an example and the organization strategy will be explained. Lastly, in task 6, Business Drivers of Information System (IS) there are six known business drivers of information system. In this task, a company in maritime industry will be chosen as an example and all six business drivers of information system will be explained through the company operations.
