TASK 1

LATEST IT GADGET

(SONY XPERIA-Z)

      WHAT IS IT?

First there was mobile. Then there was smart. Now Xperia Z marks the start of a new era. More than a smartphone, it’s the ultimate super phone. Sony Xperia Z is a touchscreen enabled, full HD Android flagship high-end smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Sony Mobile. The phone was announced by Sony at CES 2013 1 March 2013 worldwide. The Xperia Z runs the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) software. Sony Xperia Z allows users to connect worldwide as well as to download and share information online.

FEATURES, FUNCTIONS AND ADVANTAGES

Super clear, super black
The OptiContrast panel brings users clearer images when on and a seamless black look when off. It is a glass cover sheet that is optically bonded to the underlying LCD. By optically bonding the LCD and the cover glass, the LCD gives a noticeably better picture, especially in a brightly lit room.

World’s first image sensor with HDR (High Dynamic Range) video for smartphones. This is to capture a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging methods or photographic methods. So the image captured is as if it is alive.
Stunning photos and videos in any light
Sony's smartphone cameras are built with the same expertise and components as leading Sony cameras, to bring users ultra-sharp photos and videos, wherever and whenever.
HDR video camera
Xperia Z features Exmore RS for mobile, the world’s first image sensor with HDR video for smartphones, so users can take beautiful stills and movies even against strong light.

13-megapixel camera
The 13 megapixel fast-capture camera and the next-generation Sony Exmore RS for mobile sensor makes Xperia Z the Android mobile that delivers crystal clear photos wherever, whenever.
Great in all light conditions
With Exmore RS for mobile and HDR, Xperia Z takes sharp photos and videos both in low light and strongly back lit conditions. The low light sensors on front and back make it the first dual Exmore R for mobile camera.
Superior Auto
Not a pro with settings? Superior Auto mode automatically activates HDR and noise reduction when they’re needed.

The highest level of water resistance in a smartphone
Smart, sleek & durable
No one knows how to best pack durability into a beautiful design like Sony. The slim 7.9 mm body, with its reflective glass surface, looks and feels slick, but Xperia Z is crafted to be water-resistant, dust-resistant and tough enough to handle whatever life has planned.

Water-resistant

Xperia Z can be submerged under water for 30 minutes and it’s good as new when it comes out. It’s also resistant to water jets.

Tough as metal

Xperia Z’s frame is made from glass fibred polyamide, the same material that’s used as a metal substitute in automobile parts. So it is tough as metal.
Durable glass

The durable tempered glass on front and back is a lot stronger than conventional glass and with anti-shatter film on the front and back, Xperia Z is anything but fragile.
Dust-resistant

Sony brings the dust tests to their labs. Before they label Xperia Z dust-resistant, it is hang it in a dust-test chamber and make sure its operation is unaffected.
Omni Balance design

The design is focused on creating balance and symmetry in all directions. Xperia Z has beautiful rounded edges and smooth, reflective surfaces on all sides, which are held together by an innovative skeleton frame.

Smartphone with super power

The Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor gives users super-fast performance, unparalleled graphics and efficient battery use. It also allows users to find their way on Google maps. Stream the latest YouTube clips with LTE (Long Term Evolution) or download the newest apps and run them without a hitch.

Better battery life

With Battery STAMINA Mode users have more intelligent battery management and can easily improve users standby time by four times or more. Your phone knows when your screen is off and shuts down the battery-draining apps you don’t need, and then starts them up again when the screen is back on.
